Tom joined Economou Partners in 1989, shortly after receiving his master’s degree in architecture at Washington University’s Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Design. As a Design Principal specializing in certified-historic preservation projects, Tom has helped the firm win numerous awards, including a Chicago Building Congress Award for renovating Chicago’s Kendall College and a Governor’s Choice Award for the rehabilitation of the Patio De Leon in Ft. Myers, Florida.

He has worked on the development and design of hotel, retail, and residential properties in the U.S. and abroad, and his present focus is on the planning and design of large-scale mixed-use projects. Tom is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and he has sat on the City of Ft. Myers Planning Board and the Lee County (Florida) Historic Preservation Board.
